About my home city
My home city is Shantou (Swatow in the dialect). The metropolitan region is known as Chaozhou (Teochew in the dialect) or Chaoshan which has a population of 13 millions and is located in South China. Chaozhou literally means the land being created by the tide from the Pacific Ocean which is also why I call myself Tide. The seaport and commercial center here is Shantou, it is a beautiful harbor city, located on the China coast 150 miles north east of Hong Kong.
